About Us
MERLE BROWN was named after Hollywood bombshell Merle Oberon. It was perhaps inevitable then that she fell in love with all things yesteryear. Merle’s main passion is vintage clothing and she runs her own online clothing store, Miss Kitty Litter’s Vintage Emporium. She adores beauty – although she is a beauty school drop-out! - and began wearing red lipstick at 14 when she fell in love with Marilyn Monroe.
Merle’s other passions include cats – that’s Florence, one of her three, with her in the picture – vintage Sindy dolls and the 1970s – her favourite Bombshell from that era is Farrah Fawcett. She’s been writing for 17 years, was staff at the Daily Record newspaper for six – three of them as Fashion Editor - and now freelances at home in Edinburgh.
