The Oscars’ very red carpet!
Last year, we just weren’t feeling the red carpet at the Oscars. This year- wow – it’s got its Mojo back! Hallelujah!
And how about all the fabulous red on the red carpet! We were loving it. Natalie Portman wore vintage 1954 Christian Dior - red and polka dot. How could we not love it?! Emma Stone wore a big bold bow topped number from Giambattista Valli, which was actually more fuchsia than red in the end, and Michelle Williams, left, nominated for her role as Marilyn Monroe, in My Week With Marilyn, wore lovely coral-red peplum-detailed ruffles by Louis Vuitton.
Kelly Osbourne’s Badgeley Mischka dress was figure-huggingly beautiful and I adored the green embellishment with her lilac-grey hair. Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tom Ford cape and dress was exquisitely structured, if not a little sci-fi, don’t you think?!
Angelina’s Versace thigh-split wasn’t my favourite, but maybe that’s because I’m not a fan of her. She’s far too thin, and her leg annoyed me!

Rooney Mara’s red carpet interviews were painful, but her structured Givenchy gown, bold fringe and bombshell makeup gave her some points in my book! Milla Jovovich was lovely in white Elie Saab, and Best Supporting Actress winner, for The Help, Octavia Spencer looked stunning in Tadashi Shoji.
Meryl Streep, winning her third Oscar for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, wore winners gold, which was also green, or ec0-friendly – it was by Lanvin for the Green Carpet Challenge.
Who was your favourite?
Gwyneth looks more sophisticated than usual. Angelina is her usual smug self and looks like she suffers from bullimia or anorexia.
Meryl looks amazing. My favs dresses would be Milla’s and Ovtavia’s. Love that silvery white shimmer. Just to add, I do think Kelly looks beautiful in that amazing dress.
Gwyneth Paltrow was my favourite and Penelope Cruz. Sx
Octavia looks stunning, and I am a red fan, so I have to go with Michelle and the pinky-red of Emma – and bows, I love bows! Angelina is a fruit loop. Always has been, always will be! I do adore Gwynnie too!
