We were absolutely beside ourselves at BBHQ when we opened up the parcel containing Revlon’s relaunched classic shade, Fire and Ice which will be on sale again from December 1, exclusively at Boots.
Now, we can actually wear the same shade our favourite Bombshells (probably) did. Look at this picture of Bombshell of the Month, Hedy Lamarr - do you think it’s Fire and Ice? We do. Well, we’re pretending it is anyhow…

Anyway. The details. Those wonderful people at Revlon are relaunching the 1952 lipstick shade Fire and Ice (alongside the new nail polish, All Fired Up) just in time for Christmas. As the old advert said ‘For you who love to flirt with fire…who dare to skate on thin ice….A lush and passionate scarlet…like flaming diamonds dancing on the moon’.
The original campaign – seen below, was one of the most iconic beauty launches and ad campaigns ever. It featured the beautiful Dorian Leigh and a full page quiz that asked if you were made for Fire and Ice. (If you click on the image to enlarge it you can take the quiz!)

The lipstick is wonderful – a beautiful shade of red that is just in the right amount of blue and right amount of orange category to be pretty much universal. It just makes us think of Bombshells the minute we apply it!
